The Perfect Romantic Setting

We have many years of experience in organising and hosting weddings and our aim is to take all the worry and stress away to allow you to enjoy your special day. We have everything you need to ensure your day goes smoothly in the romantic, magical setting of the Roman Camp Hotel, whether you wish to host just your reception at the hotel or to get married in the gardens by the river or in the ‘wee’ chapel. The large dining room is an ideal venue for wedding receptions.

The Pre-Wedding Reception

Our principal pre-wedding reception rooms are the drawing room and the library. They are perfect for welcoming guests with a glass of champagne and both rooms have tranquil views over the gardens and River Teith. They are linked together by an intimate bar area which provides the ideal environment for a classical quartet or pianist to entertain your guests. Champagne and cocktail receptions may also be held in our gardens where marquees can be arranged upon request.

The Wedding Ceremony

The Roman Camp Hotel offers both indoor and outdoor romantic settings for the wedding ceremony itself and even has a small chapel, ideal for the signing ceremony. We have long relationships with local ministers, celebrants and registrars and can make introductions for you. There is a stone altar on the banks of the river which provides a picturesque summertime setting. Indoors there is the oak panelled library for smaller ceremonies or the Drummond Suite which can seat up to 120 guests. If you wish to host just your reception at the hotel then the local town of Callander and the surrounding area offer many alternative venues for your ceremony, ranging from attractive churches in glorious settings within the Trossachs National Park, to a steamship on the beautiful Loch Katrine.

The Drummond Suite is a spacious oval room with panoramic views of the gardens. This room incorporates a central dance floor and hidden private bar making it the perfect room for a wedding banquet followed by entertainment and dancing. Tables can be set in a variety of formations adorned with crisp linen, crystal glassware and silver cutlery. Connected directly to the Drummond Suite is the Wilson Room with a dining capacity for a further 36 guests, helping increase the capacity to 150. This room can also be used for smaller wedding parties. Our award winning fine dining kitchen can prepare delicious courses for your wedding meal ensuring that the needs of all your guests are taken care of. The Roman Camp Hotel can cater for the most intimate wedding as well as the large occasion. Its romantic and friendly atmosphere backed up by experienced and professional staff will ensure the perfect day.

The Intimate Package

If you dream of a small and intimate ceremony for only the two of you or a celebration with your dearest friends then our Intimate Package is perfect for you. Available Mondays to Thursdays only, it includes private use of our library and secret chapel for the ceremony and reception with access to our spectacular riverside gardens for photography.

The Celebration Package

Feel at home surrounded by family and friends with our Celebration Package. Enjoy exclusive private use of the entire Roman Camp Hotel with all bedrooms, reception and dining rooms at your disposal on your wedding day. Hold your ceremony in our library & secret chapel, followed by celebration drinks in our drawing room and bar. Our spectacular oval dining room is perfect for your wedding breakfast and dancing afterwards. Our riverside gardens are available for photographs and there is also an outside reception area on the front lawn. Available any day of the week.

Minimum party size of 80 on Saturdays from May through to end of September.

The Exclusive Package

Experience the ultimate in privacy and luxury for your big day with our Exclusive Package. Enjoy private use of the entire Roman Camp Hotel with all bedrooms, reception and dining rooms, private garden & riverside areas at your disposal on your wedding day. Hold your ceremony in our library and secret chapel or by the riverside altar. Follow your ceremony with celebration drinks in our drawing room and bar. Host your wedding breakfast and dancing in our Drummond Suite and Wilson Room. Enjoy exclusive use of our riverside gardens for your photographs with a further covered outside reception area. Available any day of the week.
