Christmas Escape 2023
Our Christmas Escape for 2023 brings together the best of Scottish hospitality spread over the Christmas period.
From your arrival on 24th December, we will be on hand to welcome you into our atmospheric country house hotel with afternoon tea & sherry before sitting down to an excellent Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas carols.
Christmas Day begins at your own pace with breakfast in bed. Come lunch time a glass of mulled wine will be served before our splendid five course Christmas lunch served at candle-lit tables, laden with Christmas finery, fruits, nuts and flowers. Late evening a buffet of sandwiches and home-made soup will be served around the crackling log fire in our library, drawing room or cosy bar.
Boxing Day is a day to take things easy. In the evening we will serve a tasting dinner accompanied by a selection of fine wines to complement each individual dish and further enhance the dining experience.
Scotland is the home of Hogmanay and Roman Camp Hotel is hosting a 3 day New Year Break with a traditional Hogmanay party with both modern dance music and Scottish dancing accompanied by our very own Ceilidh band. There will also be a Murder Mystery evening, fireworks and other activities.
Following your arrival on December 30th enjoy our afternoon tea & champagne. In the evening come to a drinks party to meet all our house guests in our drawing room and library to get the New Year celebrations under way. A sumptuous five course dinner will then be served with all seated at one grand dining table accompanied by a wonderful selection of wines. There will be some great entertainment laid on which will be announced nearer the time.
During the day of December 31st, enjoy a light lunch & afternoon tea in our library or drawing room. In the evening champagne will be served in our reception rooms followed by New Year’s Eve dinner accompanied by our specially selected wines. Our Ceilidh band will strike up and lead us in traditional Scottish and modern dancing through this night of celebration. At midnight we will herald in the New Year with a grand count down, fireworks, champagne and our traditional Scottish stovies. Dance again with our band before joining in with Auld Lang Syne.
January 1st is a day of recovery and relaxation. Breakfast can be served in your bedroom any time you desire. During the afternoon sandwiches & teas will be available whenever you wish. Some games will be on offer for your entertainment if you so choose or you can just relax before enjoying a glass of champagne ahead of our New Year’s Day dinner served at one grand table in our Wilson Dining Room.
